On Monday afternoon, the jury in Hunter Biden’s federal gun case began deliberating in a Wilmington, Del. court. The president’s son has been charged with three felony charges stemming from allegedly lying on a federal screening form when purchasing a firearm in 2018.

54-year-old Biden faces a maximum sentence of 25 years in prison for the charges of lying on a federal screening form, lying to a gun dealer, and possessing the firearm illegally.

Biden had acknowledged his drug addiction in his memoir, but his lawyer, Abbe Lowell, argued during the trial that he didn’t "knowingly" lie as he had recently completed a rehabilitation program and allegedly wasn’t using drugs at the time of the purchase in October 2018, according to USA Today.

During the trial, evidence was presented from Biden’s electronic devices showing an April 2018 photo of drugs, as well as text messages about using drugs in the days after he purchased the firearm.
