During a recent interview, former Democrat Congresswoman from Hawaii and former candidate for the Democratic nomination for president in 2020 Tulsi Gabbard said she would not support President Joe Biden’s 2024 re-election campaign “under any circumstances.”

Gabbard was asked on the Patrick Bet David Podcast if former President Trump should debate Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to which Gabbard responded, “Trump just did this CNN Town Hall that I don't know that DeSantis would agree to do a CNN town hall. I don't know. Maybe he would, maybe he wouldn't.”

The former Hawaii congresswoman continued, “For every debate that I've seen, Trump has done very well.”

She added, “I think that he would probably do well, and I think the voters, would appreciate being able to have candidates there on the stage. Obviously, it's up to him, and he'll make a decision, but I think it would send a strong statement.

Gabbard, who endorsed Bernie Sanders in 2016 and Joe Biden in 2020 was then asked, “If it were Trump Biden again in 2024, how likely is it that you would vote for Trump this time around?”

The former presidential candidate responded, “I will not be supporting Joe Biden under any circumstances.”

Gabbard explained that she has known Joe Biden for a long time and that "...the Joe Biden I knew was a good-hearted man who had the best intentions for the country. And so I had hoped that he would listen to his better angels and provide the leadership our country needed."

"Unfortunately, he has proven that to be wrong. That hope unfortunately never came about and... he is the president, he is responsible, he is accountable and the people he has surrounded himself with are more divisive, more destructive, have pushed us to the brink of World War III and nuclear war, from a domestic policy and a foreign policy standpoint have... had a destructive effect on our country that I am concerned that if they were to continue and be re-elected it would take us to a place that perhaps we cannot come back from."

Gabbard added, "Before long we would have a President Kamala Harris that I and others who wear the uniform, find to be scary beyond belief," noting that Kamala Harris is "completely unqualified" to be Commander-In-Chief and "lacks not only the knowledge and experience but also the temperament to serve in that position."

"She will be manipulated by the military-industrial complex, by people who have a lot of stars on their shoulders from the Pentagon who would like to see us continue to be in a state of war, for a number of reasons, rather than pursue peace and diplomacy."

"She would feel as though she needs to project an image of strength. It is the most dangerous thing to have a weak person who feels like they need to project an image of strength and have the power of the US military at their fingertips to do that."

Last year, Gabbard left the Democratic party citing elitism, a penchant for war, a hostility toward people of faith, and the racialization of "every issue" as reasons she is walking away from the party and urged other Americans to do the same.

Gabbard has also been critical of Vice President Kamala Harris, calling her a hypocrite for her drug policies while she was attorney general of California, said the Biden administration engages in "child abuse" when pushing for medicalized gender transition of children, and slammed Biden for making "diversity hires" and nominations.
