On Tuesday, Don Lemon announced that he would be bringing his new show to X, ditching the corporate media ecosystem in favor of the platform that would celebrates free speech and dissenting points of view.

The former CNN host has flown under the radar since he was canned by the network back in April of last year, however via his new "content partnership" with X, he vowed to come back "bigger, bolder, [and] freer."

"I've heard you... and today I am back bigger, bolder, freer!" Lemon wrote in a statement posted to X. "My new media company's first project is The Don Lemon Show. It will be available to everyone, easily, whenever and wherever you want it."

He went on to note that viewers can "find it first on X," which he labeled "the biggest space for free speech in the world."

"I know now more than ever that we need a place for honest debate and discussion without the hall monitors," he added, hinting that there was more coming down the pipeline in the future.

In a statement posted around the same time, X Business revealed that it had entered into a "content partnership" with Lemon for his new show, explaining that the 30-minute program would be broadcast on the platform three times per week and cover politics, culture, sports, and entertainment.

Lemon's decision nearly a year later received widely positive feedback, even from those who had criticized him in the past.

"Congratulations," Tucker Carlson wrote. "It's a new world. Welcome."

"I can't stand this guy," one user wrote. "But what's the point of free speech if someone you don't like can't say something you don't like. Bravo [X]."

"First Tucker Carlson, and now Don Lemon," another user added. "Voices from all political spectrums are being ousted from Mainstream Media and joining X, where they will get 1000x more traffic and viewership!"

"I disagree with virtually everything Don Lemon has to say," he added, "but I think it's great news for X and good news for his otherwise dying career."
