Father who pranked Biden with 'Let's Go Brandon' call slams cancel culture, leftist mob in Steve Bannon interview

"'Let's Go Brandon' encompasses the entirety of our frustration with Joe Biden, the administration, the leftist mob, the cancel culture, and the mainstream media."

Oregon dad Jared Schmeck, who pranked President Joe Biden with the "Let's Go Brandon" call on Christmas Eve, joined former Trump adviser Steve Bannon's WarRooom to discuss the joke that triggered the left over the holiday weekend.

Donning an iconic red Make America Great Again hat, Schmeck appeared on Monday's episode of the conservative podcast to recount the prank that made national headlines when he ended a NORAD Santa tracker-themed telephone call to the Biden family with "Let's Go Brandon." To which, the unsuspecting president was tricked into repeating and saying he "agrees" with the anti-Biden phrase.

Schmeck explained the effectiveness of the "Let's Go Brandon" movement and how the mantra has become a protest against the "leftist mob" and "cancel culture."

The popularized phrase has been used by critics of the president as a PG substitute for "F*ck Joe Biden," both of which are heard at venues across America.

"And I've said it in other articles. I am a Christian man," Schmeck, a former Medford police officer and father of four children who has since been doxxed, told Bannon. "For me, it's God first and foremost. I don't follow any one man blindly."

Schmeck reiterated that the critical tagline he uttered Friday evening was meant in "a joking manner, a humour manner," but also noted that it was a chance to voice disapproval of Biden and the current administration's mishandling of matters.

He named the "debacle in Afghanistan," referring to the botched US withdrawal from the Taliban-controlled region that left Americans stranded. "They're not even talking about that anymore. It crazy to me how quickly they've forgot that story. And no one's talking about it. There's still people trapped over there," Schmeck said, pivoting to also cite the supply chain issues, skyrocketing inflation rates, border crisis, "terrible" abortion policies, and federal vaccine mandates.

"There's more that I can even say in a day," Schmeck laughed.

Schmeck declared that "Let's Go Brandon" is "more than just F— Joe Biden;" it "encompasses the entirety of our frustration with Joe Biden, the administration, the leftist mob, the cancel culture, [and] the mainstream media."

"But for those folks out there in Oregon where you live that are not hardcore Trump supporters, do you believe that they're starting to see what we've known from day one and is really what is underneath the 'Let's Go Brandon' or FJB movement?" Bannon asked Schmeck during the interview segment.

Schmeck answered: "I pray that they are and I do believe that they are actually. This movement has become something that is not just left versus right. I've been getting messages from people all over the world thanking me for this. It's not even just America. I think it's a global movement. And I do think people see it."

"I didn't even know that the president responded the way he did until I saw it on TV because they cut me off as soon as I said, 'Let's Go Brandon.' That's when my phone call cut off. He's the one who said it and he's the one who made it a story and we know why they're mad about it," Schmeck concluded.

Schmeck told The Oregonian that he has since received "vague but threatening phone calls." Schmeck maintained that while he feels Biden "can be doing a better job," he bears no ill will toward the president and meant "no disrespect."

"He seems like he's a cordial guy," Schmeck said of Biden. "There's no animosity or anything like that." Schmeck stressed it "was merely just an innocent jest to also express my God-given right to express my frustrations in a joking manner."

Schmeck added, "I love him just like I love any brother or sister." However, the "frustrated" father said he "stood 100% behind what I did and what I said."

"At the end of the day, I have nothing against Mr. Biden," Schmeck stated.
