The show was announced back in October as a celebration of "faith, family, and freedom" in opposition to the Super Bowl’s chosen performer, Bad Bunny.
The show will feature performances from Kid Rock, as well as country singers Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice, and Gabby Barrett. Live streams of the show will be available to stream on Turning Point USA’s YouTube, X, and Rumble channels, and will be airing on Daily Wire Plus, Real America’s Voice, Trinity Broadcasting Network, Charge!, the National News Desk. The performance will begin around 8 pm.
Turning Point spokesman Andrew Kolvet said in a statement on the announcing of performers, "The All-American Halftime Show is an opportunity for all Americans to enjoy a halftime show with no agenda other than to celebrate faith, family, and freedom. We set out to provide an entertainment option that will be fun, excellent, and exciting for the entire family while millions are gathered together for the big game. These performers will deliver exactly that, and we can’t wait to watch the incredible show they’re about to put on. We know millions around the country will be watching too."
“We’re approaching this show like David and Goliath. Competing with the pro football machine and a global pop superstar is almost impossible…or is it?" Kid Rock said. “He’s said he’s having a dance party, wearing a dress, and singing in Spanish? Cool. We plan to play great songs for folks who love America.”
The show was announced back in October as a celebration of "faith, family, and freedom" in opposition to the Super Bowl’s chosen performer, Bad Bunny. The Puerto Rican rapper was announced as the headliner in late September.
Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio, has come under fire for skipping out on the USA during his tour over concerns that ICE would make arrests at them, sitting down at a Yankee’s game in October during a rendition of "God Bless America," and telling Americans that they have "four months to learn" Spanish if they want to understand his mainly Spanish-language performance.
A report released in January said that Bad Bunny plans to wear a dress during his performance as a tribute to queer icons and drag culture. The NFL has defended its decision to select the rapper as this year’s performer, with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell saying it was "carefully thought through," adding, "I’m not sure we’ve ever selected an artist where we didn’t have some blowback or criticism."
