“Putting 67 in the username girl pls be serious for one second.”
In a video teaser that was shared on Wednesday, the account, formerly KamalaHQ, posted a video saying that something would be happening with it "tomorrow," but did not get specific.
Many speculated that the video was teasing an electoral run, but in reality, the move was a rebrand of the social media page to "HQ." Harris later released a video, explaining the move. "KamalaHQ is turning into Headquarters. And it's where you can go online to get basically the latest of what is going on, and also to meet and revisit with some of our great courageous leaders, be they elected leaders, community leaders, civic leaders, faith leaders, young leaders."
"I'm really excited about it. So stay engaged and I’ll see you out there. Thank you." Harris added. The caption of the video said, "Welcome to Headquarters, the new Gen-Z led progressive content hub."
The latest rebrand, according to Politico, is an attempt to get back into the national spotlight after losing the 2024 presidential race to President Donald Trump. The page under Harris is joining forces with left-wing activist organization People For the American Way in order to relaunch the social media page. A memo detailing the page rebrand said that it will be for mobilizing young people.
However, some have already started to poke fun at the rebrand, particularly for including "67" in the X handle, "headquarters_67." One user responded to the post from Harris’ social media page, “Putting 67 in the username girl pls be serious for one second.”
Another added, “I hope the 67 in the handle is for actual normal and professional reasons because it would be really embarrassing and unserious otherwise.”
Another wrote, “’headquarters_67’ just pls stop and dont mix trends or memes with politics, it was unique and original when trump did it, now its just cringe.”
Additionally, after the negative comments about the "67" in their bio, the page changed its bio from "(Still) providing context" to "Elon wouldn’t give us @headquarters," in what appeared to be a move to justify the handle featuring the internet trend.

Harris’ social media page has tried to engage with other Gen Z trends previously. During the campaign, the formerly KamalaHQ social media page attempted to play into the “brat” social media trend. At the time, much like now, many called the move cringey in what was seen as pandering to Gen Z with social media trends
