Violent anti-ICE and Antifa mobs in LA descended on immigration authorities and police on Friday evening as Mayor Karen Bass said that the city "will not stand for" for "terror" tactics from ICE.

Police had to use flash bang grenades in order to disperse crowds of violent, anti-ICE agitators who tried to interfere with the arrests. In total, ICE took 44 people into custody with the slew of raids, the New York Post reported.

After the violence broke out, LA Mayor Karen Bass said in a statement, "This morning, we received reports of federal immigration enforcement actions in multiple locations in Los Angeles. As Mayor of a proud city of immigrants, who contribute to our city in so many ways, I am deeply angered by what has taken place. These tactics sow terror in our communities and disrupt basic principles of safety in our city. My Office is in close coordination with immigrant rights community organizations. We will not stand for this."

The Post Millennial’s senior editor, Andy Ngo, reported that some of the violent actions were carried out and planned by the far-left extremist group Antifa.

Police shot tear gas as well as other non-lethal substances into crowds of violent agitators in order to disperse the mobs. In one instance, the agitators chased after an ICE vehicle, with one person trying to stop the moving car.

Agitators vandalized and destroyed property during the protest, with many masked up as they carried out the violence. DHS said of Bass' comments in light of the anti-ICE mobs, "The violent targeting of law enforcement in Los Angeles by lawless protestors is despicable. These men and women work every day, putting their lives on the line, to protect and defend the lives of American citizens. Mayor Bass, ICE is not responsible for 'sowing a sense of terror' the protestors YOU enabled are.”

Bass also told reporters that she will "fight for all Angelinos" and that the local government will protect anyone regardless of when they arrived in the city and whether or not they are illegally in the US because LA is a "city of immigrants."

The Trump administration slammed Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass over her reaction to immigration raids.

White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller dismissed Bass' comments. “You have no say in this at all," Miller wrote on X. "Federal law is supreme and federal law will be enforced."

White House adviser Sebastian Gorka also responded on X, “They’re Illegals. Not ‘immigrants.’ One just tried to burn Americans alive in Boulder," he said, referring to terror suspect and illegal immigrant from Egypt, Mohamed Soliman, who has been charged with attempted murder after being seen on camera with Molotov cocktails and burn victims.
