"We were able to have frank conversations with Walmart, and as I've said for a long time, I don't ask companies to take on my political views. I am simply advocating for corporate neutrality," Starbuck said.
Starbuck posted a video to X where he announced that Walmart would be rolling back its DEI programs as well as other "woke" initiatives that the corporate giant has implemented over the past few years.
"MASSIVE news," Starbuck said, "Walmart is ending their woke policies. I can now exclusively tell you what’s changing and how it happened.” He then detailed the different commitments that Walmart had put forward in response to Starbuck's investigation.
Starbuck said he had been "investigating a massive company now for a while," revealed that it was the giant retail chain this week. "Walmart became aware of our investigation and reached out to me. This was critical and honestly turned out pretty fantastic for everybody involved in my opinion. We were able to have frank conversations with Walmart, and as I've said for a long time, I don't ask companies to take on my political views. I am simply advocating for corporate neutrality," Starbuck added.
After adding a few more details, he went through the left-wing policies that Walmart has committed to eliminating, including that Walmart will no longer use the Human Rights Campaign's (HRC) "Corporate Equality Index.” The index from the HRC has been a sticking point for Starbuck as he has gone through a list of different companies in his activism.
He added, "Walmart is going to review and stop funding to all events that could be sexually inappropriate for kids. That includes drag queen story time or pride events that expose kids to sexually inappropriate topics. That's all going to stop going forward." Starbuck added that in the conversations he had with Walmart, the company committed to stop their "racial equity center" as well as end their "supplier diversity" program, two areas where race was used a preferential factor.
The left-wing term of "Latinx," which the vast majority of Latinos do not use, will also be nixed from all of Walmart's materials.
Starbuck added," This is a massive win for our movement. The momentum just keeps growing. This is the largest employer in the United States, worth almost a trillion dollars. Other companies are taking notice; suppliers of Walmart are taking notice now. With Christmas right around the corner, I'm happy I could deliver you guys one retailer that will drop the woke policies."
The conservative activist then added that even though Amazon and Target still have “woke” policies, two of the other largest retailers in the nation, he has his sights on them as well. Starbuck has largely been responsible for forcing multiple companies with large shares of conservative consumers to roll back their DEI as well as other left-wing policies. Some examples have included Tractor Supply, John Deere, Ford, and several others.
