On Sunday, a new poll showed that more Americans trust former President Donald Trump to lead the country than President Joe Biden when it comes to key issues.

According to the ABC/Ipsos poll conducted between March 8 and 9 of 536 adults, 36 percent said they trusted Donald Trump while Joe Biden received 33 percent. 30 percent of those polled said neither had their trust.

When asked how they felt about the job President Biden has done on key issues and how they felt Trump performed as president on those issues, former President Trump polled higher than Biden on all issues except abortion and climate change.

Trump received a 49 percent favorable rating on the economy, compared to Biden's 37 percent. On inflation, 45 percent approved of Donald Trump, and 31 percent for Biden. On crime, Trump was more favorable 41 to 35 percent, and on immigration, the former president got 45 percent favorable, to Biden's 29 percent.

On Thursday, President Biden gave his annual State of the Union address. Of those polled, 29 percent said he did better than expected, 12 percent thought it was worse than expected, while 35 percent said they did not watch.

The poll also found that President Biden lost support for his handling of the war between Israel and Hamas. Only 30 percent of respondents approve of the job he has done, compared to 41 percent back in October.

In the last two months, when asked who respondents were going to vote for, former President Trump has outperformed President Biden in 10 out of 12 polls conducted.

Earlier this month, a Bloomberg/Morning Consult poll showed that Donald Trump would beat Joe Biden in seven key swing states. It had Trump leading Biden, 49 percent to 43 percent in Arizona; 49 percent to 43 percent in Georgia; 46 percent to 44 percent in Michigan; 48 percent to 42 percent in Nevada; 50 percent to 41 percent in North Carolina; 49 percent to 43 percent in Pennsylvania; and 46 percent to 42 percent in Wisconsin.

Michelle

I gotta say, if you are a Democrat, how can you NOT see that Biden is a 50 + year career Politician who doesn't do much, can't speak correctly and is clearly losing his mental capacity. I do NOT want someone like that controlling our Nuclear Code not to mention, it's obvious many things he has been doing is NOT in the best interest for American Citizens. Trump has only 4 years in Politics and did a far better job than Joe's 50 plus years. Trump 2024!!!
