Former federal prison guard Tova Noel, who "slept and browsed the internet" as she oversaw the cell of convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein on the night he died in prison in what was ruled to be a suicide, is now facing trouble at her new job after being accused of assaulting a female colleague at Montefiore Einstein Advanced Care in Westchester County, New York.
Mayda Roman, a 52-year-old co-worker of the 35-year-old Noel, brought a lawsuit over an assault, per court documents filed at the Westchester County Supreme Court on Friday, the Daily Mail reports.
Court documents claim that Noel "became irate" as she was being trained under Roman, and even allegedly punched her in the left arm "very hard" after being interrupted.
Other allegations include that Noel "put her hands on" her another time and "forcefully pulled" her ear in front of other coworkers while yelling, "You don't listen!"
The lawsuit states that Roman soon "became extremely anxious and afraid of Noel."
Noel also allegedly made false accusations about Roman being racist after she had requested a patient to disclose their race.
Roman was later fired after the pair both met with human resources on Oct. 18. Noel remains employed.
"I don't like problems and I really did like the job," explained Roman, who then called Noel a "bully" and a "liar."
Roman's attorney, Christopher Berlingieri, commented that his client is "a hard-working mom" and does not deserve the treatment she is facing.
Noel was previously taken into custody for falsifying prison records to say she had made the mandated checks on Epstein before him being found dead at Manhattan's Metropolitan Correction Center in August 2019.
Noel ultimately accepted a plea deal in order to avoid being locked up and ended up working at a different job as a medical office assistant at Montefiore Einstein Advanced Care in Westchester, per the outlet.
