Ron DeSantis responds to Biden's 'governor who?' quip: 'What else has he forgotten?'

“I’m the governor who answers to the people of Florida, not to bureaucrats in Washington.”

Ron DeSantis directly fired back against the Biden administration in the latest of a war of words between the state and federal government.

At the beginning of the week White House Jen Psaki called out Florida for their decisions regarding mask mandates and mandatory vaccinations. They told Ron DeSantis to get out of the way of the federal government. He responded by refusing.

In response to that, President Biden said “governor who” yesterday to the media, insinuating that DeSantis isn’t even worth acknowledging.

But the Florida Governor has something to say to that. His latest statement takes the time to refocus on the ongoing issues in America.

“Well, I guess I’m not surprised that Biden doesn’t remember me. I guess the question is what else has he forgotten? Biden’s forgotten about the crisis on our southern border. I can tell you that. Biden has forgotten about the inflation that’s biting the budgets of families all throughout our country. Biden has forgotten about the demonstrators who are fighting for freedom down in Cuba, and Biden’s even forgotten about the constitution itself with what he did with this moratorium.”

Both Texas Governor Greg Abbott and Senator Ted Cruz have made it publicly clear the COVID threat of concern the Biden administration’s lax southern border policy presents, as migrants come in at 20-year record highs.

When it comes to the reference to the US Constitution, he’s referring to Biden’s decision to extend the CDC moratorium for two more months despite acknowledging  that it goes against an earlier Supreme Court ruling.

"I can't guarantee you the court won’t rule that we don't have that authority but at least we'll have the ability to, if we have to appeal, to keep this going for a month-at least. I hope longer."

Both the President and Vice President’s approval ratings this week hit new lows.

In addition, politicians like Rand Paul are now openly calling on the general public to revolt against the introduction of new mask mandates and lockdowns.

DeSantis continues: “And I can just tell you, I’m the governor who protects parents and their ability to make the right choices for their kids' education. I’m the governor who protects the jobs and education and businesses in Florida by not letting the federal government lock us down. I’m the governor who answers to the people of Florida, not to bureaucrats in Washington.”

Meanwhile, Biden administration's Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona said the nation’s kids will still support mask mandates despite the suffering they’ve already endured.
