"Joe Biden raped me right here in that dressing room in the shoe department when I went in to change my shoes."
In the video, Roseanne looked in a camera and spoke to her son. She looks horrified as she says "No I'm not okay, because I just had a horrible flashback, a horrible memory. Right now I realize that 26 years ago, Joe Biden raped me right here in that dressing room in the shoe department when I went in to change my shoes."
"He raped me right here in the shoe department of Bergdorf Goodman."
"Are you okay?" Her son asks.
"No, I need to sue. I need to sue," she says.
The whole thing is a send-up of Carroll's claim, made 30 years after the alleged incident, that Trump had sexually assaulted her in a dressing room at the tony New York institution on 5th Avenue and 59th Street.
Carroll brought the suit against Trump after she was encouraged to do so by George Conway, who said it would help her sell books. She brought the suit in civil court because her claims were not strong enough for criminal court. Her evidence was essentially her word against his, though she could not say when the incident allegedly occurred.
In court, Trump was found civilly liable for sexual assault and penalized with an exorbitant fine. The details of that sexual assault were allegedly digital in nature. He has appealed the case.
Carroll, who has said that "rape is sexy," has had a grand time telling press what she would do with Trump's money, including going shopping and buying Rachel Maddow a penthouse. She also sued Trump for defamation after Trump defended himself against her allegations in the press and has threatened to do it again as he's insisted on his innocence.
In response to Roseanne's video, leftists lost their minds, claiming that she was making fun of sexual assault victims. One person said "You are a horrible person for this vileness. Sexual assault is not a comedy skit."
Roseanne replied "I would never insult a sexual assault victim. I was talking about E. Jean Carroll."
Others claimed that she was "insulting every single person who was sexually assaulted. We all know cruelty is the point."
While another said "Your vile discusting, [sic] No man would touch you,by the way the conners are so much better now your screchy voice isn't on it."
"You got kicked off your own show for your racist comments. Crawl back under the rock you came from," said still another.
"1987 Rosanne would be horrified by the 2024 version," another user said.
Another user said "You are as ugly on the inside as on the outside."
Despite the detractors, Roseanne got plenty of love from fans who posted "I love it!!" and "E Jean Carroll has done embarrassed herself."
