In response to a video podcaster Joe Rogan posted on Monday addressing the Spotify controversy regarding claims that the "Joe Rogan Experience" podcast promotes "disinformation" about the pandemic, a number of big name celebrities expressed their support of the podcast star and comedian.

"I think there's a lot of people that have a distorted perception of what I do maybe based on sound bites or based on headlines of articles that are disparaging," Rogan said in an Instagram video. "The podcast has been accused of spreading dangerous misinformation, specifically about two episodes, a little bit about some other ones, but specifically about two: one with Dr. Peter McCullough and one with Dr. Robert Malone."

He continued on to say that both are "highly credentialed, very intelligent, very accomplished people, and they have an opinion that's different from the mainstream narrative."

Rogan also noted that he has a problem with the term "misinformation," given that "many of the things that we thought of as misinformation just a short while ago are now accepted as fact."

Rogan said: "Do I get things wrong? Absolutely. I get things wrong, but I try to correct them whenever I get something wrong. I try to correct it because I'm interested in telling the truth."

"I'm going to do my best in the future to balance things out. I'm going to do my best. But my point of doing this is always just to create interesting conversations, and ones that I hope people enjoy. So if I pissed you off I'm sorry. And if you enjoy the podcast, thank you. Thank you very much. Thank you to Spotify. Thank you all the supporters and and even thank you to the haters because it's good to have some haters. It makes you reassess what you're doing and put things into perspective and and I think I think that's good too," Rogan concluded.

"Great stuff here brother. Perfectly articulated. Look forward to coming on one day and breaking out the tequila with you," Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson wrote.

"Just keep being you," wrote Tulsi Gabbard.

"Your [sic] doing a great job," wrote singer Jewel. "keep it up."

"Thank you for everything you do and keep spreading love," North Korean defector Yeonmi Park wrote.

"Love to see you offer to bring Neil Young and/or Joni Mitchell on with whomever they want by their side to refute whatever it is they're so pissed about. If they’re for truth it should be an easy convo. I'll be looking forward to their replies if so," surfer Kelly Slater suggested.

"Joe - we go way back and all these years I've known you to be nothing but objective and seeking truth. Thank you. Love you brother," fellow comedian Kevin James wrote in the post's comments.

"Keep doing what you're doing Joe. The mainstream narrative doesn't matter, what matters is finding the truth," the Hodgetwins account wrote.

"Left or right— we all stand with you Joe and are against the corporate fascists. Also literally no country cares what Meghan and Harry think," wrote Daily Wire host Candace Owens, referencing a statement given by the couple's Archwell Productions expressing their concern over COVID-19 misinformation on Spotify, according to Deadline.

The flood of support comes after two artists, Joni Mitchell and Neil Young, removed their work from the streaming platform over concerns they raised with Rogan's show.

In addition, a letter signed by more than 250 medical professionals called for Rogan to be removed from Spotify, describing him as a "menace to public health."

In response to criticisms, Spotify announced over the weekend that they would be adding COVID-19 content advisories to podcast episodes in an effort to "combat misinformation."
