A former North Carolina high school volleyball player who was seriously injured by a transgender opponent slammed Democrat lawmakers on Thursday after they claimed that trans-identified biological male athletes pose no harm to women while competing in women's sports.

Payton McNabb, who suffers from long-term physical and mental injuries after a transgender athlete spiked a ball into her face during a volleyball tournament in 2022, refuted Democrat Rep. Pramilia Jayapal's bold claim where she falsely stated that "not a single" transgender person poses harm to female athletes.

Rep. Jayapal, who has a transgender child, said during a House Judiciary Committee that "it is a tiny portion of people across the country that identify as trans, and not a single one of them is doing anything to harm you or your family."

Mcnabb caught wind of the remarks and shared her two cents on X, saying "Just getting back from my second doctor appointment this week, a year and a half later, I’m definitely going to have to disagree. My life is forever changed because of an injury by a boy."

"So yeah… men have harmed women in our sports. But as long as your feelings don’t get hurt, right?" she added.

The congressional committee was discussing a bill about the safety and fairness of biological men competing in women's sports, according to Rep. Greg Steube (R-FL), who shared a clip on X of Jayapal making the comments while almost in tears and wrote: "Men in women's sports haven’t harmed anyone?? I imagine @paytonmcnabb_ would disagree!"

"This bill is about safety and fairness. How many more female athletes will be injured by men before the anti-women Democrats wake up?" said Steube.

Additionally, Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) falsely claimed during the hearing that "men do not compete in women's sports." Shortly after, HR 7187, the Protection of Women in Olympic and Amateur Sports Act, was passed by the committee which prohibits biological men from participating on any women's sports teams.

"Transgender women may compete in women's sports, it does no service to the truth or to the human biology or understanding of human biology that there's no such thing as transgender women, or for that matter transgender men," said Nadler.

"We know that people did not ask to be born transgender, no more than of us have to be born male or female, they were just born that way," he added.

McNabb also took a jab at Nadler's comments and called him "delusional."

"Come on now, Jerry, you know that ain’t true! Everyone can see right through your delusion," she wrote on X.

"Your statement is a slap in the face to every female athlete that has suffered from this insane issue," added McNabb.
