Instagram censors account of ‘former trans kid’ Chloe Cole, says it ‘encourages violence’

In a post on X, Cole revealed, "Facebook has notified me that my Instagram bio is too 'violent.'" She added, "If you think reading it is violent, imagine actually living through all that!!"

The social media giant appeared to imply that this strike comes over her detailing her journey of transition and detransition, as the notification points towards her profile description, which touches on those topics.

Cole's Instagram profile reads, "19, female (XX), former trans kid, started T & Blockers at 13, Double Mastectomy at 15, detransed at 16."

In an Instagram post, Cole also revealed she received a notification that her account "can't be shown to non-followers," as the "account activity may not follow our recommendations guidelines."

The message added that her "account and content won't appear in places like Explore, Search, Suggested Users, Reels, and Feed Recommendations."

In a statement to the Post Millennial, Cole said, "Facebook is absolutely correct in stating that my bio describes something violent-that is, my own life experiences." She continued, "However, I am doing quite the opposite of condoning what doctors did to me and instead using my experience to raise awareness and encourage others to be compassionate."

"It is upsetting that they can claim I am promoting violence and using this narrative to hide my content from parents, children, and those who need to hear my message the most," Cole concluded.

Cole has been an outspoken advocate against children transitioning, frequently using her own experience as a cautionary tale. At 13 years old, physicians placed her on puberty blockers as well as testosterone later that year. At the 15, doctors performed a double mastectomy on the teen, only for her to detransition a year later.

She is currently suing her medical providers for malpractice, alleging they failed to properly warn her and her family of the potential side effects that came from medical interventions for gender dysphoria. "Doctors told Chloe and her parents that Chloe’s gender dysphoria would never resolve itself. That was a lie. They also told Chloe and her parents that Chloe was at high risk for suicide unless she socially and medically transitioned. Chloe’s doctors told her parents, 'would you rather have a dead daughter or a live son?’ That was a lie too," Cole's lawyers at the Center for American Liberty said.

She has testified on several pieces of legislation across the country in an attempt to stop what happened to her, from happening to other children. During a recent testimony to Congress, Cole said her message to American teenagers and their families is that "I didn't need to be lied to." She continued, "I needed compassion. I needed to be loved. I needed to begin therapy to help me work through my issues, not affirming my delusion that by transforming into a boy, it would solve all my problems."

"Enough children have already been victimized by this barbaric pseudoscience. Please let me be your final warning," she concluded.

For her activism, Cole has received hate and vitriol from activists and Antifa militants as well as attempted censorship from online tech platforms. In February, Eventbrite removed an event that Cole, along with Transexual content creator and TPM writer Sara Higdon, Gays Against Groomers founder Jaimee Michell, and cofounder for Partners for Ethical Care Jeannette Cooper spoke at for "hateful, dangerous, and violent content."

A journalist was attacked by Antifa during a Detransition Awareness Day rally that Cole hosted in Sacramento, California in March. Cole also faced protestors at a rally in Nashville, Tennesee, in January, where she spoke against gender ideology being pushed on children.
