The Republican National Committee and 2024 presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump ended March with $93.1 million in cash on hand, raising $65.6 million in the month.

According to Politico, the March fundraising figure outpaced the $62 million raised by Trump in March 2020 when the former president was running for reelection.

While Biden’s team has yet to announce March figures, it reported raised around $25 million during the star-studded New York City fundraiser featuring Barack Obama and Bill Clinton.

Biden and the Democratic National Committee raised $53 million in February, and ended that month with $155 million on hand.

While Trump advisors have conceded that the former president is expected to be at a cash disadvantage against Biden, Trump is moving aggressively to close this gap.

Trump is set to host a major fundraiser in Palm Beach, Florida over the weekend that aides say will bring in more than $40 million from high-profile figures, and Trump has been courting major donors at his Mar-a-Lago estate.

March marked the first month with Michael Whatley as former RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel’s replacement and Trump’s daughter-in-law Lawa Trump as co-chair.

"Our campaign, working together with the RNC, has been steadily ramping up our fundraising efforts, and our March numbers are a testament to the overwhelming support for President Trump by voters all across the spectrum," Susie Wiles, Trump campaign co-manager, said in a statement.

Lara Trump announced in mid-March that the RNC had seen " the largest digital fundraising weekend since 2020," noting that the change in leadership "has really inspired a lot of people to give."

While fundraising efforts ramp up ahead of the 2024 election, Trump has had to spend money on legal fees in cases brought against him by Biden’s Department of Justice and liberal district attorneys. Trump’s Save America PAC reportedly spent more than $5.6 million on legal fees.
