Following his announcement on June 4 that he would be suing the far-left insurgent group Antifa for being assaulted, stalked, and threatened in the summer of 2019, Andy Ngo has now been invited to brief the United States House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform on the far-left extremist group on Monday.
US Representative Jim Jordan took to Twitter on Sunday, tweeting: "A few days ago, the Chairman of the Judiciary Committee called #Antifa “imaginary.” @MrAndyNgo is briefing the Oversight Committee on Monday. Bet he’ll have a different story to share."
Ngo has been the recipient of a number of threats and smear campaigns by leftist media since he started covering the destructive behavior of Antifa in 2019.
This came to a head when Ngo was assaulted in the summer of 2019, which resulted in a torn earlobe and a brain bleed. But the threats and harassment continued afterward.
Ngo tweeted a video on Sunday with the caption: "Those who feel threatened by my work are repeating the same falsehoods from last year. It’s the same playbook with the same bad actors. They failed to bring me down before & will fail again."
Ngo's lawsuit has been bolstered by President Donald Trump's intent to designate Antifa as a terrorist organization, though no action has yet been taken to do so.
His lawsuit was filed at Multnomah County court in Oregon, and Ngo is seeking $900,000 in damages that include assault, battery, emotional distress, and racketeering by those who moved to "suppress Ngo's journalism through intimidation and violence," and for "ongoing neurological health issues."
Ngo has refused to back down from the onslaught of harassment and threats he has received for reporting on far-left extremists who have committed burglary, arson, assault, and vandalism.
Ngo recently visited the Capitol Hill Occupied Protest (CHOP) for five days and reported the atrocities committed in the zone, which included assault and alleged rape.
